A holiday you remember as a child
When I was 6 years old I went with my parents to Antofagasta
. I remember it as the first long trip i’ve been to. It took 12 hours in a car
from La Serena! (Where I still lived there).
We went on the summer vacations and we stopped
in a gas station on Copiapó. Also we ate lunch and continued for the next six
hours.
Then we arrived to Antofagasta and we stayed on a pension.
Altough we are not a big family (me, my mom and dad) I made friends with a girl
who’s family was leasing in the same place and my mom talked with her mother
too. I played with Sofia (my new friend) and we shared toys for the days we
were staying there. We had a lot of fun.
One of the fist places we visited with my parents was the
iconic natural monument La Portada. It’s a rock that has the shape of a frame
and one of the most famous pictures of Chile.
The next day me and my mom went to a beach in the morning (wich
I don´t remember its name) but I remember the sand was so dark and it was very
easy to build castles with. I also liked the beach because there was a lot of
shells and clams and I collected them on a bag. (I loved doing that as a
child).
I don´t remember too much because it was a long time ago,
but I’d like to come back to Antofagasta
it was a very long trip
